NutriFocus is a student project by Meta Minds at Bennett University. It explains how to eat well on everyday Indian food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, in plain language.
We aren’t doctors or dietitians, and this isn’t a clinic, a meal-plan service or a supplement shop. We sell nothing and take no sponsorship.
How we handle evidence
- Requirements (for example, how much protein an adult needs) come from the ICMR-NIN Nutrient Requirements for Indians (2020).
- Eating patterns (for example, half the plate as vegetables and fruit, and the salt and sugar limits) come from the ICMR-NIN Dietary Guidelines for Indians (2024).
- Food values (for example, protein in 100 g of paneer) come from the Indian Food Composition Tables 2017 (IFCT 2017) or the product label. We round them and mark them “approx.” because values vary by brand, recipe and cooking.
- Every guide lists its sources and the date we last checked them.
- Sample meal days are editorial suggestions, not prescriptions. They aren’t calorie-counted to the gram.
